DAE confirms $13bn Airbus contract

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has confirmed an order with Airbus for 100 jetliners worth about $13bn at list prices, reported Bloomberg. The state-owned aviation company will buy 70 A320-series planes and 30 A350 XWBs, Toulouse, France-based Airbus said at the Farnborough International Air Show. DAE had signed a letter of intent for the planes in November at the Dubai Air Show.

Dubai: Dubai's aviation landscape will receive a strong boost next year when the new budget airline FlyDubai takes off, as Emirates is becoming expensive for many budget passengers who have been shying away from full service airlines and gradually shifting to Sharjah-based Air Arabia.
